The team at Westmoreland, Patterson, Moseley & Hinson is proud of our own personal injury attorney Philip Potter for being featured in Verdict Magazine’s Fall 2020 issue. Potter, along with 17 other local attorneys, were selected for the 2020-21 LEAD Program and highlighted in this issue.

Potter said to Verdict Magazine about the LEAD Program:

“I came to feel that most of the better trial lawyers in the state are active in GTLA. The LEAD program is a great way to learn how to become more involved with the organization and learn from these great, accomplished lawyers.”

What is LEAD and why is it important?

LEAD, which stands for Leadership Education & Advanced Direction, is a program created by the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) for Georgia lawyers who are under 35 years old. The purpose of LEAD is to build up new leaders and help prepare them to be more successful lawyers. Each year, a small number of the top up-and-coming Georgia lawyers are selected to participate in the LEAD program.

In order to apply for the program, you have to be a GTLA lawyer in good standing and have 10 (or fewer) years of law practice experience (or be under 35). The LEAD Program consists of 6 sessions between August and April. All participants have to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions to graduate from the program.
