The law firm of Westmoreland, Patterson, Moseley & Hinson participated in the 16th annual Bunko for Breast Cancer fundraiser, hosted by United in Pink. The event took place on February 28, 2020 at the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center.
The primary purpose of Bunko for Breast Cancer is to raise funds and awareness for the women and families in central Georgia who are (or have been) affected by breast cancer. The evening included a silent auction, a raffle, food and dessert, live DJ music and, of course, lots of Bunko playing.
United in Pink originally started out as Bunko for Breast Cancer in 2005. The event was created by a Georgia breast cancer survivor, Sandy Union, who wanted to thank those who had helped her during her breast cancer fight. Two years later, Bunko for Breast Cancer became an official nonprofit organization. In 2011, it changed its name to United in Pink.
Now, Bunko for Breast Cancer is United in Pink’s signature fundraising event each year and provides support for many families going through similar battles with breast cancer.
Our team at Westmoreland Law was proud to be one of the many community sponsors that helped make the 2020 Bunko for Breast Cancer possible.
