    Workers' Compensation

Workers’ Compensation Attorney Thomas Herman of The Law Firm of Westmoreland, Patterson, Moseley and Hinson in Macon, Ga. answers the question:

Sometimes people don’t want to file a Worker’s Compensation Claim because they are worried that their employer is going to be the one to paying the benefit when they get hurt.

The simple answer is that is not correct. Any employer in Georgia is required to have Workers’ Compensation Insurance Coverage to provide benefits for their employees who are hurt on the job. So if you’ve been injured on the job what you need to worry about is making sure you contact a qualified attorney to make sure you get all the income benefits you are entitled to receive plus all the medical treatment you need to get well and get back to work.
